One Shot of Realms of Terrinoth part Three Creeping into the Crypt

January 9th, 2020

One Shot of Realms of Terrinoth part Two of Three: How Flammable is the inn

Our heroes ride into the town  of Mud Wallow to put down a vile Necromance...

“We lost our scoundrel and we have a baby, I’m sure his hat will fit!”

“How Flammable is the inn?”

“Baby, ritual, sacrifice, necromancer…”

“Necromancyfarts”

“Synchronized looting…”

The Finale will be getting posted on our new regular uploading date, Thursdays on 1/9/2020.

Terrinoth is a world of forgotten fantasy and lost legacies. Once ruled by the Elder Kings who called upon mighty magics to perform great deeds and work marvels, the land has suffered greatly at the hands of its three great foes from the undead armies to the terrifying dragons of the Molten Heath. Many of its great cities have been cast down into ruins, and many wondrous secrets and powerful artifacts have been lost.

For hundreds of years, Terrinoth slipped into gloom and decay. But heroes arise just when their lands need them the most. Courageous adventurers brave the ruins of past ages and the foul creatures within to uncover the treasures of their ancestors. The Daqan Barons, inheritors of the ancient kingdoms, rebuild their walls and muster their armies, while the wizards of Greyhaven gather runes of power to awaken guardians of stone and steel. These preparations come none too soon, for the ancient enemies of the lawful races are stirring again, and Terrinoth needs champions of courage and cunning to stand against the rising darkness.

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to offer Realms of Terrinoth, a new sourcebook for the Genesys Roleplaying System! You can pre-order your copy today from your local retailer their website!

Check out the pregen characters they are playing provided by Fantasy Flight Games HERE.

Interview with Justin Oldham and A.C.: AFTER COLLAPSE

December 9th, 2019

This weekend I got to have a great interview with Justin Oldham a writer, gamer and RPG developer who has written A.C.: AFTER COLLAPSE a post-apocalyptic role-playing game set after civilization has come to a slow, bitter end.

"If your thinking of building a game, then do it!"

This Role-Playing game offers a detailed post-Collapse environment filled with opportunities for adventure and discovery. Player Characters, known as “Survivors,” cautiously explore through the dangerous ruins of once-great metropolises. A.C.: AFTER COLLAPSE uses a d20-based game mechanic, a classless character generation system and a Character Point (CP) system that rewards players when they complete scenario and campaign goals, allowing them to improve attributes and acquire new skills.

291242.jpg

“A.C.: After Collapse is a post-apocalyptic tabletop RPG with a customizable D20 architecture that allows referees and players to experience this genre in as much or as little detail as they want. The game includes basic rules and individual source books that expand on a variety of topics. It is supported by a product line of novels and anthologies that use the power of fiction to provide a big backstory. There is something for everyone, no matter how much or how little experience they have with RPGs or this genre.”

CoKoCon 2019 Panel Writing and Gaming How RPGs and Video Games Influence Your Writing

September 19th, 2019

CoKoCon 2019 Panel Writing and Gaming How RPGs and Video Games Influence Your Writing

Recorded live at CoKoCon 2019

Join our panelists Beth Cato, Diana Terrill Clark, Floyd Getchell, Stephanie Weippert as they discuss how gaming from Dungeons and Dragons to Final Fantasy has inspired their writing.

Beth Cato

She's the author of The Clockwork Dagger (a 2015 Locus Award finalist for First Novel) and The Clockwork Crown (an RT Reviewers' Choice Finalist) from Harper Voyager. Her novella Wings of Sorrow and Bone was a 2016 Nebula nominee. Her new alt-history steampunk series began with Breath of Earth and continues with Call of Fire and Roar of Sky.

Follow her at BethCato.com and on Twitter at @BethCato.

Diana Terrill Clark

Diana Terrill Clark was born in Oregon, grew up in California, and lived in many other places before settling in Arizona. She and her co-writer, D. S. Harders, have two books in the Chloe's Story series: Cause and Effect and Ice and Fire. The third in the series, Life and Death, is coming soon. She has two poetry blogs, and is published in several poetry volumes. She loves Dreadpunk and Steampunk and has a Dreadpunk page on Facebook, Dreadpunk = Gothic Horror. She lives in Old Town Scottsdale and enjoys, in no particular order, dark chocolate, coffee and Jamesons.,

Floyd Getchell

Floyd refers to himself as a novelist because that is all he writes: novels. Floyd is retired from the U. S. Army, being a veteran of both the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. Floyd has written several novels about alien invasion, a sequel to H. G. Wells’s The War of the Worlds and a nearly finished trilogy about cowboys in space, the Pilgrim's Trail saga.

Floyd has a BA in History and travels the world to visit historic sites. Floyd is currently working on his novels and researching ancient mariners' travels around the world. Floyd is also a resilience trainer and grief counselor, helping those dealing with loss. Floyd lives in Casa Grande with his young son when not traveling. He’s more likely to be found at Worldcons, so let him know if you plan to attend one.

Stephanie Weippert

My writing began with a slug. Let me explain. Several years ago, a local sci-fi convention sent out a call for short stories for an anthology, and since their mascot was a slug, every story had to have a slug, either as an important character, or an important plot element. The idea tickled my funny bone, so I wrote my first story to send out for approval. It wasn't accepted of course, but the writing bug bit and with the help of my tolerant, wonderful husband, I've been writing ever since.

Our moderator Tony Padegimas writer of Go Action Fun Time RPG
