I am an Arizona-based author with Midwestern roots. In addition to being a writer I have also designed Adventures Under the Laughing Moon—a tabletop role-playing game based on my fantasy series and set in the world of Mythren. This is a world I have been developing for more than twenty years with rich characters, compelling conflicts and a long history with many footprints in the sand. Over the years, this series has expanded to include novels, short stories, comic books, and original character and creature designs showcased at pop culture and comic conventions. I love the interactive and creative atmosphere of tabletop game play, and I thoroughly enjoy seeing these characters and creatures brought to life through photography and cosplay. My latest project is a tabletop RPG called Wheelhouse. This game offers both new and veteran players a glimpse into the apocalyptic future of the Laughing Moon world and provides a whole new context for storytelling and adventures.

Epyllion Adventures Episode 2 To the Spires

“Epyllion is a tabletop roleplaying game (RPG) where you play dragons in a dragon-centric world. You are the sons and daughters of the Dragonlords, mighty rulers who need your help to investigate rumors, solve problems, and discover the truth of a growing evil in the land. Along with your fellow dragons, you and your clutchmates will protect Dragonia from the Darkness and discover the true value of friendship. While you play, you’ll explore what dragons do, building on what each of you adds to the story, and exploring the meaning of friendship for yourselves.
Epyllion is based on the Powered by the Apocalypse system used inApocalypse World, Dungeon World, Monsterhearts, Night Witches, and more. It’s a simple system; when a character takes an action that fits one of the system’s moves, the player will roll two six-sided dice, add in a stat, and look back to them move for a result. On a 10+, the character will find success. On a 7-9, the character will have success, but with some kind of price tag attached. On a 6 or less, the Dragon Master (DM) will say what happens next… and it probably won’t be so good for the young drake.
The Powered by the Apocalypse system gives Epyllion the strong, yet flexible base necessary to tell your very own dragon epics!”
This is the lightly edited episode 1 that was part of the first session of our game after the session 0, the first part is us going over the rules and our Dray (the plural for the dragons) a go over our character sheet and back story of their Clutch…

Humanity battles for survival in the dangerous world of Gaia, where Infection and Mutation are a daily threat. Organising itself into factions with different ideas about how to best survive the dangerous world they inhabit, they clash with each other as often as Infected.
This Quickstart Guide contains a cut-down version of the rules and a single adventure. It's intended to display the rule set for anyone considering getting the game.

Details about the Rules:
The Era d10 ruleset is designed to allow you to experience this universe in a way that is as unobtrusive as possible without being misrepresentative. By choosing your skills carefully, your character can dominate in any of 5 forms of combat, talk their way out of any situation or protect their teammates from harm.
The rules could be described as "A Success-counting dice pool system where you roll Attribute + Skill in d10s and the difficulty of the task determines which numbers count as Successes."
In case that was a bit too brief or jargony, here's a bit more detail:
The system is based around multiple dice - the more skilled you are, the more dice you have - and a variable goal based on activity difficulty.
Using an Attribute and Skill system, which each define their own areas of influence, you roll your dice depending on what you're attempting - whether Dexterity + Engineering for a precision piece of work, Intelligence + Engineering for a more theoretical problem or Luck + Engineering for a complete long shot, you'll be able to adapt to your circumstances and focus on your strengths.
Although you roll more dice the more skilled you are, the number you are attempting to reach varies depending on the difficulty of the action - if shooting someone in clear conditions, the GM would ask for a 7. If someone was laying a mine, more likely a 6. Firing over your shoulder at someone 30 metres away, while crouching behind a low wall would definitely be a 10!
